Nice to meet you!

My name is Emma! (And the chihuahua above is my dog, Annie!) I offer professional dogsitting, enrichment drop-ins, and dog training service. I am well-versed in positive reinforcement methods and compassionate care.

I’ve found that I am a great fit for anyone looking for a sitter who is qualified to read dog body language and be able to give you an accurate report of how your dog did while you were away. If you would describe your dog as having “big feelings” or if your dog is on behavior meds—those are my kind of dogs 😊 I am excellent at troubleshooting, and can creatively problem solve common issues like a dog who has a hard time with new people, a dog not wanting to take a pill, or even a dog struggling to have appropriate interactions with fellow dogs at home.

I am also heavily involved in the rescue community and have fostered 25+ dogs from the county shelter and various Arizona rescues–so I truly have experience with all sizes, shapes, and personalities of dogs. I’d love to meet you and yours!

Your home or mine?

I typically offer services in your home to make sure your dog is as comfortable as possible and I can maintain their routine! I do make the occasional exception for puppies since I can more easily integrate them with my personal dog, so if this is your preference just reach out and we can chat.

Service Area

Currently my service area is the East Valley, but I do travel depending on my availability!

Services Offered

Drop-ins … starting at $45 for the first hour then $20/hour
Perfect for the independent dogs who just need some attention and potty breaks throughout the day. You will be able to choose length and frequency of drop-ins. These include feedings, play time, cuddles, and anything else your dog may need!

Dogsitting … options starting at $150/day and $45/night (when added onto days, $90/night when separate)
Full days are usually from around 9am to 5pm and include feedings, play time, enrichment, cuddles, and anything else your dog may need! I only take on one client at time for full day services, so your dog(s) will get alllllll of my attention and between 0-4 hours of alone time. If your dogs aren’t used to spending nights alone, you can bundle full days with overnights for closer to 24 hours of care!

Enrichment drop-ins … starting at $65/visit
Break up your dog’s day with an enrichment drop-in where I will appear with a fun activity for them to do. These usually last 45 minutes to an hour and don’t worry–I clean everything up!

Training … starting at $150/session or “home school” can be added onto a sitting package
Currently only available for established clients and new puppy parents who want some initial guidance after bringing a puppy into their home. If you are booking dogsitting you are welcome to add “home school” onto your package and let me know which skills you would like your pup to work on strengthening while you’re gone!

*** A quick note for new clients: I am currently not able to provide services in homes with indoor cats due to severe allergies. ☹️

Recommendations

Check out some recommendations from happy humans below, I am happy to provide phone numbers of past clients as well!

“Nothing is more disappointing than finding out that the only dogsitter you trust isn’t available for the dates you need them, so I’ve just started planning my trips around Emma’s availability. Seriously, she’s spoiled me for pretty much anyone else. As much as I would love to keep her all to myself, she’s also the only sitter I’ll confidently refer my dog training clients to. Not only does Emma have more years of experience than most sitters, she also has more continuing education into animal behavior under her belt and a great community of resources. Which means she’s pretty uniquely qualified to care for the more sensitive animals out there who could really use a patient and knowledgeable caretaker.”

“We would not survive life without Emma! Emma understands dog behavior and body language and is very observant. She has spent time getting to know my dogs and their special needs. She is the one person my reactive dog loves as much as me. When Emma stays with my dogs, I feel 100% relaxed and have no worries about them. She takes care of them as carefully as I do. When she comes over, she plays, and trains, and snuggles my dogs. I actually view a weekend with Emma as a vacation for my dogs! Better and more fun than when mom is here! They are always so excited to see her. She has done overnight stays at my home as well and has gone above and beyond to keep my dogs and my home safe. I cannot recommend Emma enough as a reliable, communicative, and talented dog sitter.”

“Emma is a lifesaver, not only has she given me great peace of mind so I could plan trips away from my dog, but she’s also been there for us through emergencies that gave little to no notice. So grateful to know that when I can’t be with them, my dog is with someone who loves him just as much. She also sends the best updates and cutest pictures!”
